Running the Smart Scheduler from the Unassigned List

The Smart Scheduler Call-to-Action area in the Unassigned Jobs list has been expanded to give you advanced insights before optimization:

  • Info on Job Selection - number of jobs and policy violations

  • Link to Scheduler Settings

  • Link to User Settings

Alerts on non-compliant Jobs

The Smart Scheduler does not schedule Jobs that do not comply with the current policy. These jobs now display an alert icon, meaning you can see in advance if a job has a compliance issue in relation to Skills, Service Areas, Location Permits, or Location Exclusions.

Click on the alert to see information about the violations.

Quick Link to Scheduler and User Settings

If policy violations are found, you can address these quickly by using the gear icon to access the settings areas for Scheduler and Users.

This allows you to change User Settings or relax the Policy rules to ensure a successful Smart Scheduler run.

Match Scheduler Date Range

The Unassigned list date range has a setting to match the date range in the main Scheduler view.

In cases where the "Display all jobs" setting is selected, it will match according to the To Date.

Smart Scheduler Results View

Various improvements have been made to the Smart Scheduler Results view.

Display Travel Times

  • The travel times calculated by the Smart Scheduler optimization engine are now displayed in the results view, see below:

    • This gives you confidence your technicians can serve the route.

  • If you would like to allow additional travel time for more comfort between jobs, use the new Travel Time Buffer in Policy Settings to add up to 50% more travel time

Travel Time Buffer

For situations where you want to allow extra travel time between jobs, Scheduling Policies have a Travel Time Buffer feature.

This adds a % increase to travel times to account for real-world conditions like traffic congestion, stop lights, and road conditions and ensures technicians can get to the customer site on time.

Map View Improvements

Various improvements have been made to the Map View.

Map Jobs List Grouped by Date and Tech

Technician Jobs are now grouped by date and technician, making it easier to see each person's work for the selected time period.

See an Individual's Jobs Over Multiple Days

You can view jobs for an assignee over multiple days.

Initials for Map Pins

Job Map pins display the technician's initials, making it easy to see each tech's assignments.

Unassigned jobs are indicated by the letter U:
