This guide outlines the updates and enhancements you’ll notice when moving from the legacy Scheduler to the new one, helping you get comfortable with the changes and take full advantage of the upgraded features.
New Features
The new Scheduler includes several enhancements to make managing your schedule easier, faster, and more intuitive.
Here’s what’s new:
Enhanced Bulk Drag & Drop: Quickly reschedule or reassign multiple jobs at once for greater efficiency.
Integrated Map View: Enjoy a built-in map with advanced routing tools to optimize your team’s routes.
Responsive Interface: The map and unassigned list now adjust seamlessly without covering the timeline.
Refreshed Design: Experience a cleaner look with updated job blocks, stacking behavior, tooltips, and job popovers.
Edit from the Job Popover: Update job details directly from the popover for faster adjustments.
Improved Performance: Benefit from faster load times and smoother drag-and-drop interactions.
Saved Views Management: Create, edit, or delete Saved Views easily — with new roles and permissions to control access.
Bulk Drag and Drop
The new Scheduler makes it easy to manage multiple jobs at once with bulk drag-and-drop functionality. Whether you need to shift a group of jobs by a few hours or reassign a technician’s workload to another team member when they’re unavailable, you can do it quickly and effortlessly — all in one smooth action.
Reschedule Multiple Jobs
To reschedule multiple jobs, simply click and hold to select the jobs you want to move, then drag them to the new time slot on the timeline.
Reassign Multiple Jobs
Click and hold to select the jobs on a technician’s row, then drag to move them up or down to assign them to another technician.
Integrated Map View
The Map is fully integrated with the scheduling board, allowing you to easily visualize job locations and routes in a whole new way.
Show Jobs on Map
Click Map All to display every job on the map. Alternatively, you can click the map icon on a technician’s row to view only that technician’s jobs.
Multi-Day View Route Calculation
Once there are jobs displayed on the Map, you can calculate day route in multiple-day view.
Responsive Timeline
In the new Scheduler, the timeline is fully responsive, ensuring that the map and unassigned list never block your view. You’ll also be able to adjust the section widths manually to match your preferred layout.
Refreshed Design
Job Blocks
Job blocks are taller, allowing you to display up to four fields on each job. This provides greater visibility and insights at a glance, helping you make faster, more informed decisions.
Overlapping jobs are stacked for better visibility, giving you greater control when managing your schedule and avoiding conflicts.
You can configure which fields appear by using the Filter and Layout Panel under the Job Block and Tooltip Labels tab.
Job Popover
The Job Popover is larger, offering a clearer view and allowing you to edit key job details such as the crew, start time, and duration.
The Work Plan remains accessible through the Open Work Plan button on the Details tab, giving you full control over the job’s crew assignments and time slots.
Job Configuration Tab - Editing
From the Job Configuration tab, click Edit to make applicable updates to assignees, scheduled date and time, and/or estimated duration.
Technician Cell
The technician cell has been updated to display more key details, giving you quick access to important information at a glance.
It now includes:
Technician name – links directly to the user’s profile page
Phone number – this will be configurable in a future update
Job count – shown with a briefcase icon
Map technician’s jobs – indicated with a map pin icon
Total job duration – to help you track workload at a glance
