About this guide: This guide covers the Advanced Filtering features released in Q2 2026 for the New Scheduler and Jobs List. All existing Saved Views are preserved β€” no setup changes are required to continue using them.

Overview

Advanced Filtering gives you greater control over which jobs appear in your Scheduler and Jobs List. With these features, you can:

  • Select multiple values for a single filter (e.g. show jobs for Customer A or Customer B)

  • Exclude specific values (e.g. hide all Completed or Invoiced jobs)

  • Filter using additional attributes including Service Area, Job or Quote, Is Recurring, and Has Dependencies

  • Star (favourite) Saved Views so they appear at the top of your list and are protected from accidental deletion

The same filter engine applies to both the New Scheduler and the Jobs List.

πŸ—’οΈ Note: Advanced Filtering is only available in the New Scheduler. It is not available in the legacy Scheduler.

Where to Find It

Open the Filter Panel in the New Scheduler or the Jobs List and click Job Filters. The updated filter interface will load automatically β€” no additional setup is required.

How to Apply a Multi-Select Filter

Multi-select filters let you match jobs against more than one value at once using OR logic β€” for example, jobs belonging to Customer A or Customer B.

  1. Open the Filter Panel and click Job Filters.

  2. Choose a field that supports multi-select (e.g. Customer, Job Type, Scheduling Priority).

  3. Select is in as the operator β€” a multi-select dropdown will appear.

  4. Select one or more values from the list. You can search within the list for lengthy value sets.

  5. The active filter chip will display all selected values, making it clear that multiple criteria are applied.

How to Exclude Values Using "not equals"

Use the not equals operator to hide jobs that match specific criteria β€” for example, to exclude all jobs of a certain type or from a particular customer.

  1. Open the Filter Panel and click Job Filters.

  2. Choose the field you wish to filter on (e.g. Job Type, Customer, Scheduling Priority).

  3. Select is not as the operator.

  4. Select the values you wish to exclude from the multi-select dropdown.

  5. The Scheduler or Jobs List will update to hide any jobs matching those values.

How to Star (favourite) a Saved View

Starring a view pins it to the top of your Saved Views list and prevents it from being accidentally deleted by other users.

  1. Open the Saved Views dropdown in the Scheduler or Jobs List.

  2. Hover over the view you wish to star β€” a grey star icon will appear beside it.

  3. Click the star to mark it as a favourite. The star will become filled/highlighted.

  4. Starred views appear at the top of the dropdown by default. Non-starred views are collapsed but can be shown by clicking Show all views.

Tip: Hover over the star icon on any view to see a tooltip showing how many other users have also starred it.

How Starred Views are Protected from Deletion

If a Saved View has been starred by one or more users, the delete (Γ—) control is disabled for all other users. Hovering over the disabled control displays the message: "Cannot delete, x other user(s) favorited"

The delete control becomes available again once all users who starred the view have been archived in the system.

πŸ—’οΈ Note: Roles and Rights permissions for controlling who can delete starred views are not included in this release and will be addressed in a future update.

Your Existing Saved Views

All existing Saved Views are fully preserved. Any views previously using Customer contains or Customer starts with filters will continue to work with the same operators β€” no action is required on your part.
