The Smart Scheduler uses a technician’s skills to match him or her to the appropriate Job Type. This is done through a Job Type-User Skills mapping, covered here. Setting users skills is optional, but highly recommended in order to ensure the most suitable tech is assigned to the job.
Setting up Skills
Skills can be created, edited and archived in the Company Settings area or via the API. In order to maintain data integrity, Skills cannot be deleted, only archived.
Apply Skills to Users
Once User Skills have been created in the Company Settings area, they can then be applied to the User Record via the web app or the API. Users can have more than one skill.
