Match Job Types to User Skills

With Job Types and User Skills now set up, you can match them in the Scheduler Settings tab or the API.

A Job Type can be matched to one or more skills.

If a Job Type is matched to multiple skills, then the Smart Scheduler will only assign the job to a technician who possesses all of the required skills. It will not match the job to a crew who possess all the skills between them. Manual scheduling rules follow the same approach.

Important note: It is optional whether to set up Job Types and User Skills for the business. However if a Job Type is specified on a job, the Smart Scheduler will fail unless it can find matching skills. Also, to get optimal results, we recommend taking time to set up and match Job Types and User Skills properly.
