Excluded Technicians

Sometimes it happens that a customer has a poor experience with a technician, or that a technician should not visit a particular site due to environmental conditions. In such cases, we do not want the technician to be sent to the customer location under any circumstances.

You can model this information using the Excluded Technician feature. On the Location Record, specify one or more techs whom should be excluded from that location. This can be done in the web app or the API.

To exclude a technician from a Customer location;

  1. Go to the Customers view

  2. Select a Customer

  3. On the Customer record view, select Locations

  4. Find the Customer location you wish to exclude a technician from

  5. Select that location

  6. Then click the Edit button

  7. Scroll down to the bottom of the view

  8. Expand the section Excluded Technicians

  9. Then select a Technician from the available options in the dropdown

  10. Click the Add buttoon

  11. Finally, click Save

The selected technician will now be excluded for that location when Smart Scheduler is used to build a future schedule.
