Release Notes - Customer Portal Email Notifications

We know your team can't always be logged into FieldAware waiting for new requests to come in. That's why we've added email notifications to the Customer Portal — so the right people are alerted automatically, the moment a request lands.

🚀 What's launching?

Customer Portal admins can now configure automatic email notifications for internal team members whenever a new request is submitted through the portal.

Each notification email includes a direct link to the request along with key details — like the requester's name, customer, location, and their answers to your request form — so your team can quickly understand what's needed and take action. For signed-in portal users, you'll get the full picture. For guest submissions, you'll receive whatever details were provided.

Setup is straightforward: head to Customer Portal Settings, open the Email Settings section, and select which internal users should receive notifications. You can add or remove recipients at any time, and toggle notifications on or off without losing your configuration.

🎉 Benefits

  • Never miss a request - Your team gets notified the moment a new request comes in — no need to check the app, no risk of requests sitting unnoticed.

  • Respond faster - With key request details delivered straight to your inbox, your team can assess and prioritise work right away — even before opening FieldAware.

  • Handle urgent and after-hours requests with confidence - Whether it's an emergency job or a late-night submission, notifications make sure the right person knows about it when it matters most.

  • Stay in control of who gets notified - Admins can manage recipients and toggle notifications on or off at any time — no IT involvement needed, and your settings are always preserved.

  • Included at no extra cost - Email notifications are part of the Customer Portal add-on — nothing additional to enable, no extra charge.
