What’s new in this release?

For up-to-the-minute visibility of changes in the field, enable the Auto-Refresh setting to automatically show key job updates in the Scheduler almost instantaneously. This means no more manually reloading the Scheduler or using a browser plugin to load the latest information.

How to switch on Auto-Refresh

In the Scheduler chart, set the ‘Auto’ setting under the Refresh icon. Auto-refresh is now enabled.

The Scheduler view will now automatically refresh when a job is modified by another user (web, mobile, or API) in the following ways:

  • A job Started/Paused/Completed/Declined

  • A job is assigned to a technician in the current view

  • Job is deleted

  • Job is rescheduled to another time

  • Job is assigned to another user

  • Job duration is changed or time slots are added/removed

Unassigned Jobs List

The Unassigned Jobs List also auto-refreshes. If a new Unassigned Job is created, the button will highlight in blue as normal.

If the Unassigned Jobs List is open, and a new Unassigned Job is created the view will not change ‘under your feet’.

In this case, the dedicated Unassigned List refresh button will turn blue. Click it to fetch the latest Unassigned Jobs and see them in the list.

Additional Details

Auto-Refresh Frequency

Updates are pushed through to the Scheduler in real-time, with a slight delay of a few seconds. This delay will be longer if there are more technician rows and/or you have set a long Scheduling timeline, but will always be near-real-time.

Changes that are not automatically reloaded

There are some updates to jobs that will not be automatically loaded by auto-refresh. These are updates to job data that are not related to scheduling and assignment. Examples include changes to the Job Description, updates to custom fields, addition or removal of assets and so forth. To make sure this type of data is up to date, manually click the refresh button (circular arrow).
